Did you cut a tree down yourself with the intentions of splitting the wood only to find it is a lot of work and could be best done with a mechanical splitter?

Upstate Tree Removal offers wood splitting services.  Rates range from $35 to $50 per facecord.  Price can vary according to many factors:

• if wood is cut or requires additional cutting

• how straight it is.

• Time of year - splitting in the winter is much easier when the wood is frozen

• Species of wood.  Some species such as Red Oak split super easy if the wood is straight.  Others such as sugar maple are more difficult.

• Whether we stack it or leave it in a pile.
